WORLDREACH is a nonprofit initiative undertaken by the owners of the
hostel. Local and global issues are of great importance to us, as we seek to
address humanitarian concerns. For example, cooperative development and
fair trade networks aim to build local capacities while at the same time
encourage consumers to make ethical, informed decisions. We have
worked within this framework to improve the lives of those who need help the
most and at the same time try to involve those who would like to reach out
and lend a helping hand.
A project currently being created is one which will help to further education
and cultural exchange in areas that lack sufficient resources. This will utilize
modern technology to proliferate such an essential facet of life.
Environmental and animal care initiatives are also of central priority.
